Numeric literals do not support hex notation

Hex notation is not supported in numeric literals. For instance, all of the following examples cause syntax errors:
i = 0x43;
i = 0xff;
i = 0x56;

This appears to be caused by the fact that there is no terminator being detected. I'm not sure of that, I'm only documenting issues as I see them, and have not really looked into causes.
